BIOGRAPHY

 

Born in Minsk, Soviet Union, 1962

Studied cibernetics and automatic control systems at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, 1980-85. Graduated University Degree Electrical Engineer.

Scuba diving courses at Minsk School of Voluntary Society to Support Army, Air Forces and Navy with instructor Valery Burtsev, 1980

Worked an engineer, Minsk, 1985-91

Contacting Valery Lobko Creative Photography Studio in Minsk, 1988-89

Started working with photography, 1989

Prize by Kodak-Pathe Foundation at Salon International de la Recherche Photographique, Royan, France, 1990

First solo exhibition: Galleri Index/ Fotograficentrum, Stockholm, 1991

Started a professional artist’s career, 1991

Started writing texts, 1994, and prose, 1998

Declarative refusal to create new photographic works, 1997
